Last week Mom locked us in the bedroom for most of the night. She also put the travel box and black travel bag in the room. She said it was “Just in Case”. What does that mean, Just in Case? Can I tell you I did not like being caged up. I don’t know what she was thinking because there was no way us three girls were getting in those travel bags, good luck getting us out from under the bed. There was weather on the TV channel for 6 hours straight. She was not happy about that at all. Dad didn’t seem to be too excited, although I did hear him say you better put your shoes on “Just in Case. Again, Just in case of what? At around 6:30 p.m. it got really dark outside and little ice balls were hitting the windows. There were sirens going off and on all night long. Later that night a big house across the street got hit by lightening and caught on fire. The fire trucks and police cars were racing by, again sirens. We finally got to come out of the bedroom. I was crazy running around from room to room, up and down the cat tree. I realized I must have a fear of small places. What is that called Cat-stro-phobic. Close enough. The next day we found out that property was destroyed and people died. We were lucky it went by us this time. They say that May and June are Tornado months, lets hope so because June is almost over. We have some pictures to show you of what it looked like outside our back patio that night around 6:30 p.m.
